COOKIE POLICY

The full policy statement concerning cookies installed on the www.zegna.uk website (hereinafter the "Website") is set out below.

WHAT COOKIES ARE AND WHAT THEY ARE USED FOR

A cookie is a small quantity of data that, in the form of an anonymous unique code, is sent by a web server to the user's browser and stored on the hard drive of the user's device (computer, smartphone and/or tablet). Cookies can be used either to enable the correct use of a website (technical cookies), or to check the preferences expressed by a user when surfing the Internet, in order to offer them advertising messages in accordance with their preferences (profiling cookies).

Cookies can be stored on a device permanently and have a variable duration (permanent cookies), disappear when you close your browser, or have a limited duration (session cookies). Cookies may be installed by the Website you are visiting (first-party cookies ) or can be installed by other websites (third-party cookies).

In addition to cookies, other tracking technologies may be used, such as:

Tracking pixels and web beacons: small invisible images embedded in web pages that collect information when the page is loaded to monitor user activity

Event APIs: tools for sending events and user behaviour data from servers to platforms (Meta and Google)

Cookieless Pings: signals sent to Google servers that report user activity and consent status (functional information), without relying on cookies

TYPES OF COOKIES AND TRACKING TOOLS USED ON THIS SITE AND THEIR PURPOSES

This Website uses the following cookies and tracking tools:

Technical cookies

These cookies enable the Website to function properly and allow content to be displayed in the language and for the market of the user's first access. They are able to recognise which country you are connecting from and act in such a way that, each time you visit the Website, you are automatically directed to the version for your country. They also allow you to create an account, log in and manage orders. If a user has registered, thanks to cookies, the Website will be able to recognise them when they access the services offered to registered users. These cookies will recognise purchases made on the Website via an affiliated or partner site, so that obligations to partner sites can be fulfilled. These cookies are necessary for the functioning of the Website.

Analytical Cookies

Analytical cookies enable statistical analysis of how users browse on the Website. These cookies, configured by Zegna, only allow the tracking of anonymous IP addresses (with part of the code remaining untraced). They do not enable any identification of the user or collect anonymous data. User consent is therefore not required for anonymous analytical cookies, as they do not collect any personal data and are comparable to technical cookies.

First-party and third-party profiling cookies and trackers

The Website uses cookies and profiling tracers, through which it is possible to note the preferences and habits detected during each visit and therefore create profiles and/or complete the user's profile already present in our databases, enabling us to send messages to users that are more in line with their preferences and interests.

Third-party cookies are used by third-party companies. They enable the display of advertising banners on other affiliated sites (retargeting), showing the latest products that have been displayed on our Website. While you browse the Site, these cookies are also used to show products that may be of interest, or similar to those you have previously looked at, based on your browsing history.

These cookies also include tracking tools, including Pixels, Tags and Pings belonging to third parties, including:

  • Meta (Event pixels and APIs) that enable analysis of conversions in aggregate to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns on a social platform and send targeted advertising messages (based on a specific consent collected by Meta as the owner). Upon express consent, browsing data, conversion data (purchases made following advertising messages received) and data such as hash-protected email  (which cannot be read without a decryption key) will be sent to Meta for the purposes indicated. This can only take place with additional marketing and profiling consent received by Zegna. Aggregated data collected by the pixel, which may be processed in non-European countries (including the United States of America), can be stored for up to 90 days. Non-aggregated data can be stored for up to 48 hours. For further information on the processing of data by Meta, consult its privacy policy at the following link (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy);
  • Google (Consent Mode and Advanced Conversions Tags) enable the analysis of conversions in aggregate, measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns on the platform, and send targeted advertising messages (based on specific consent collected by Google as the owner). The data may also be used by Google for fraud prevention. Upon express consent, browsing data, conversion data (purchases made as a result of advertising messages received) and data entered in the Zegna account creation form (which cannot be read without a decryption key) will be sent to Google for the purposes indicated. This can only take place if further marketing and profiling consents are received by Zegna. Aggregated data, which may be processed in non-European countries (including the United States of America), can be stored for up to 90 days. Non-aggregated data can be stored for up to 20 days. For further information on the processing of data by Google, consult its privacy policy at the following link (https://business.safety.google/privacy/)
