Ermenegildo Zegna was born in 1892 in Trivero, a small town nestled in the Alpine foothills of northern Italy. This is where he built his Wool Mill and created Oasi Zegna, a 100 km² natural territory.

Fulfilling a Dream
When Ermenegildo Zegna established his own textile company, he envisaged a brand that would combine the best of Italian craftsmanship and luxury with a desire to create exceptional fabrics. Over the next three decades, Ermenegildo Zegna’s industrial merits were met with great acclaim. The quality of ZEGNA’s fabrics gained global recognition, cementing the business’ premiere status within the Italian textile sector – a legacy that continues to this day. In addition to his commercial successes, he was committed to creating prosperity for the people, and harmony between industry and nature in Trivero.
