ZEGNA presents Mocassin: the new signature loafer in the ZEGNA house. A loafer has long been an essential part of Italian style history—an iconic shoe that embodies effortless elegance and craftsmanship.
At ZEGNA, we call it Mocassin — the way our Founder used to call this kind of shoe in the Piedmontese dialect. By embracing this name, we pay tribute to our Founder and honour a design that has been deeply woven into Italy’s rich sartorial history, reinterpreting it through the ZEGNA lens.
Mocassin embodies the essence of ZEGNA’s Italian lifestyle in Summer. Its design reflects the unmistakable essence of “Italianità”. Wearing Mocassin is an invitation to disconnect from the world and find an oasis of tranquillity—both globally and, in this case, within Italy itself.
Evolving through generations of proud Italian craft, Mocassin truly represents part of its country’s history and culture. Its construction allows the Mocassin to be worn without socks, celebrating the effortless elegance synonymous with Italian sartorial heritage. For hygienic purposes, please use try-on socks when trying them in-store.

The 232 Road Brand Mark iconic detail: The vamp of Mocassin is hand-painted and hand-stitched, featuring our ZEGNA 232 Road Brand Mark. In specific,
• It combines artisanal upper stitching, a hand-finished upper, and a handpainted, hand-stitched vamp featuring the iconic 232 Road Brand Mark.
• Hand-crafted stitching on the vamp’s sides.
• Two hand-stitches on the back part of the upper.
Mocassin is designed using the so-called Reverse Construction technique, a process that only a few brands, like ZEGNA, are skilled in mastering. This technique allows the shoe to comfortably adapt to the foot. During this process, the shoe is carefully reversed by an experienced artisan by hand, requiring both expertise and strength. The reverse construction leverages the natural elasticity of the leather, enabling the material to endure significant tension while offering exceptional comfort.
The shoe features a soft leather insole and a flexible ‘cuoio’ sole with rubber injection, providing both support and functionality for all-day wear.
ZEGNA Mocassin is designed to evolve with you, by you. It transforms with every wear, softening, molding, and gaining a character that’s as personal as your own.
Every step adds character, deepening its comfort and individuality. More than just a shoe, it becomes uniquely yours—shaped by experience, defined by time.
Yes, all Mocassin are Made in Italy, in full compliance with Italian law.
